so i’m 6 months into topiramate 50mg now and i’ve seen my migraine days drop from 15-18 to 8-10. that’s huge for me, but the cognitive side effects are still a thing. i’ve been tracking my attacks and i’m starting to notice a pattern with the weather. like, whenever there’s a big change in barometric pressure, i get a migraine.
it’s not just the pressure itself, but the humidity and temperature swings that come with it. i’ve been logging all this stuff for months and i’m starting to see a correlation. fwiw, i think it’s more than just the pressure, it’s the whole weather system. anyone else notice this?
i’ve also been wondering if the topiramate is affecting my sensitivity to these weather changes. maybe it’s not just the meds themselves, but how they interact with my environment. idk, just a hypothesis. also, has anyone else noticed that their migraines can be triggered by certain types of weather, but not others?
like, i get migraines from thunderstorms, but not from sunny days. it’s weird. i’m still trying to figure out what’s going on and how to manage it all. ETA: i just realized that i’ve been getting more migraines on days when i have to travel, which always involves a change in weather.
maybe that’s a factor too?
