You can't point to pcos

people ask why so many doctor appointments. i used to say “hormone stuff, cycle tracking.” they’d nod. but here’s what’s happening: my LH surge stretches 14 days instead of the normal window, so my progesterone drops at weird times. anovulation one month, short luteal phase the next.

all internal. nothing shows. my endo can measure it: testosterone 47, LH to FSH ratio off. but when i’m explaining to someone who’s never tracked a cycle, i’m using medical language on someone who just sees me as fine.

the frustration: it’s real because numbers prove it, but because nothing shows, people default to thinking i’m managing fine. they don’t clock the constant micro-adjustments. does anyone else feel like you’re proving your pcos is actually happening?
