Got my labs back and everything’s normal: tryptase, IgE, all of it. i kept expecting them to show something bc i’m having reactions. flushing, hives, racing heart after aged cheese or day-three leftovers. but normal labs felt like proof i was making it up.
my allergist basically said if tests are normal i probably don’t have MCAS. fair point on paper. but that doesn’t match what i’ve been logging: what i ate, when it hit, what happened. it’s specific, not random.
the timing’s consistent. does anyone else have normal labs but clear reactions? how do you move forward when you’re reacting but tests say you’re not?
