TSH normal, free T3 crashing - why the gap?

i’ve been tracking my free T3 for months and the pattern is impossible to ignore. when it dips into that 60-70 range, everything falls apart - brain fog, fatigue, completely wiped. but the conversation with my endo never shifts. ‘your TSH is in range,’ she says.

‘you’re fine.’ the gap between those two numbers is where i actually live. TSH can sit pretty in the normal range while my free T3 is tanking, and those are two completely different stories about my body. i’ve started watching free T3 the way most people watch TSH. charted it against my crashes and the timing lines up almost perfectly.

it’s become the number i actually trust, because it’s the one that predicts how i’ll feel. does anyone else find themselves doing this - tracking something your doctor isn’t? or do you have a doctor who actually watches free T3?
