not sure if this gets asked here but i couldn’t find a clean answer elsewhere. came off mounjaro about a year ago after an A&E visit at 7.5mg, severe cramping and nausea that wasn’t settling at home. i’d been really careful, low fat meals, plenty of water, no caffeine. still ended up in hospital. stopped completely after that. been tracking weight and GI stuff in careclinic since stopping, and the monthly trend summary is honestly the only reason i can see the slow creep for what it actually is rather than just feeling rubbish about it. which has got me thinking about whether to try wegovy. the bit i can’t work out: was the reaction mounjaro-specific, something about the dual GIP/GLP-1 mechanism and how it affects gastric emptying, or would i just hit a similar ceiling on sema anyway? the mechanisms are different on paper but whether that translates to a genuinely different GI experience in practice is where i’m lost. anyone moved from mounjaro to wegovy after a difficult reaction? curious whether sema’s titration curve felt any gentler, or if that’s just something people say
