So my a1c and cgm didn't agree at all

two week cgm showed me something my a1c never caught. fasting glucose looked fine when i tested. a1c came back 5.8, my endocrinologist said ‘normal.’ but the monitor caught me spiking to 160+ after most meals then crashing hard by 4pm, exactly when i can’t focus on work.

my endocrinologist didn’t seem concerned, but this pattern is real. fasting labs just catch one moment. a1c is an average.

neither tells you you’re exhausted every afternoon. anyone else have this gap between looking ‘fine’ on paper but feeling wiped?

Postprandial excursions are an inflammatory driver, independent of what the A1c average says.
