went through the whole process. had my rheum write out her recommendations - nothing radical, just asking for schedule flexibility on flare days so i’m not trying to assess patients with a pain level at 8. official letterhead, diagnosis code, everything formal. got called in and my boss literally said i don’t look sick.
like the fact i can walk into a meeting without limping means i don’t get bad days. what he doesn’t see is the four hours before that, barely able to get out of bed, two showers trying to loosen my shoulders because the tender points were lit up. plus the brain fog that day was brutal but apparently that’s not visible enough. here’s what gets me: i work in PT.
