ok genuine question, does nausea tend to fade or get worse as you increase the dose of semaglutide? i’m currently on 0.25mg and it’s still pretty consistent
that consistent nausea at 0.25mg is a common experience, and for many it does intensify with higher doses before it starts to stabilize. a lot of it is your body adjusting to the slowed gastric motility, but also how often you’re eating can stack nausea rather than buffer it, which isn’t always about the dose amount.
Nausea patterns on sema can be all over the place, but when you say it’s “still pretty consistent” at 0.25mg, that makes me wonder if you’re just getting started with the titration. I’ve seen people’s nausea either fade or get worse as they increase the dose, and it’s not always clear which way it’ll go. Ymmv, but I’ve noticed my own nausea curve isn’t the same as my suppression curve, and that’s something to watch as you titrate up.
you’re not alone with that “pretty consistent” nausea at 0.25mg; it’s genuinely common for it to intensify as you titrate up, before settling into a new baseline. fwiw, I actually found trying to eat too many small meals sometimes stacked the nausea rather than helping (bc of the slowed motility), so sometimes fewer, carefully chosen meals can actually be better. ymmv obviously. ✌️
