My MDD management journey edit: clarifying

i’ve been dealing with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder for years, and it’s been a long journey to find what works for me. i’ve tried various medications, therapies, and lifestyle changes, but it wasn’t until i started looking into peptides that i saw some real progress. my gp was skeptical at first, but i worked with a consultant to develop a personalized plan.

we started with some basic blood work to check my hormone levels and nutrient deficiencies, and then moved on to more targeted tests. one of the biggest breakthroughs for me was realizing that my depression was linked to inflammation and immune system dysregulation. from there, we started exploring ways to reduce inflammation and promote healing in my body.

it’s not a magic bullet, but it’s helped me find some stability and relief. i’m still figuring things out, but i wanted to share my story in case it might help someone else. has anyone else out there had any experience with using peptides for mental health?

recognizing how much ‘inflammation and immune system dysregulation’ plays into everything is huge for invisible conditions like this. it’s just so hard to get a doc to actually connect those pieces and not just send you to another

the part about “depression was linked to inflammation and immune system dysregulation” really hits home. with fibromyalgia, it feels like everything is cranked up and docs talk about central sensitization, which feels like a fancy name for the body just being
