i see people talking about switching from levo to NDT and feeling so much better, but here’s the actual question i want answered: when you switched, did your lab numbers (TSH, free T3/T4) actually improve, or did you feel better while the numbers stayed basically the same? because i’m stuck in this frustrating loop where my endocrinologist looks at my labs and says everything’s fine, but i feel like something’s metabolically off.
my a1c is fine, my thyroid numbers are in range, and yet i’m tired, my hair is falling out, i’m cold all the time. so if someone switched to NDT and finally felt better, how do you even know if it was because your actual numbers shifted or because your body just handles the med differently even at the same lab values?
has anyone actually had their endo retest right after switching, or does the feeling better part come before your numbers change? because i’m wondering if this is one of those things where the labs don’t tell the whole story.
