32 days, 40 days, skipped a month. LH surge on day 17 some months, then nothing for 6 weeks. temps spiking or staying flat. i logged everything - length, surge dates, ovulation or the absence of it.
showed my doc the data. she said anovulatory. not irregular. massive difference.
irregular cycles is what GPs say when they’re half-looking. anovulation means you’re not ovulating - sometimes at all, sometimes every other cycle. changed everything: spironolactone for the androgens, metformin for metabolic, actually monitoring if ovulation starts happening again. tracking data made them actually look instead of just shrugging and saying “yeah pcos does that.” anyone else get told “irregular” before someone actually checked if you were ovulating?
