i feel so dumb for not really factoring in how much formula costs until we actually started using it more consistently. wren is 6 months now and my supply has been kind of all over the place, so we’re combo feeding more and more, which is fine! like whatever keeps her fed. but oh my god the grocery bill.
last week i picked up two of those big cans of enfamil neuropro and it was almost seventy dollars just for that. seventy. it feels like we’re literally buying a whole extra person’s groceries just in baby powder. i’m sitting there trying to decide between organic chicken for our dinners or another can of formula, and obviously the baby wins, but it’s just so frustrating.
i know formula is expensive but what did you guys actually cut out of your own spending to make room for it? like did you stop getting takeout or switch to cheaper groceries for yourselves? honestly, what’s been your biggest sacrifice?
