so i’ve been tracking my pcos symptoms and treatment progress, and i started thinking about how endo and hormone meds intersect. i’ve been on metformin for a bit over 10 wks now, and my fasting glucose has gone from 118 to 108, which is a win, but my acne is worse, not better. i’m still trying to figure out what’s working and what’s not.
someone posted about this in a thread on lupus and hormone meds, and it got me thinking - are there any other meds like decapeptyl or visanne that could be used for endo symptoms, and how do they affect hormone levels? i’ve been reading about how some people use these meds to manage endo symptoms, but i haven’t seen much abt how they interact with other hormone meds. has anyone else tried these meds, or have any thoughts on how they might work together?
fwiw, i’ve been tracking my symptoms and lab results, and i’m starting to see some patterns, but it’s still hard to tell what’s making a difference. there was a thread on hormone meds and acne, and it seemed like some people had some success with inositol, but i’m not sure if that would work for me. anyone have any experience with inositol and endo symptoms?
