i was taking all my levothyroxine in one shot and my tsh sat around 2.1 for months. felt like i hit a wall by 3pm every day though. labs said everything was fine. tried splitting the dose - some in the morning, some mid-day - and the next labs still showed tsh at 2.1.
nothing changed on paper. but the afternoon crash basically disappeared. actually have energy now instead of just dragging through work. mentioned it to my endocrinologist and got the usual shrug - “shouldn’t matter if tsh is stable.” technically true for the numbers but not true for actually functioning.
most people never try it because doctors don’t usually suggest it. has anyone else split their dose and found it actually changed how you felt, even though the tsh numbers didn’t move?
