Does peri belong in menopause spaces, or are we actually homeless? edit: clarifying

Been thinking about this since I saw a post get quietly pushed out of a hormone-free menopause sub because the person was “only” in perimenopause. They got pointed elsewhere. Then deleted their post. Here’s what I keep running into: the peri subs skew heavily toward HRT discussion. The menopause subs sometimes draw a hard line at “official” menopause. And the hormone-free spaces, which should theoretically be the most welcoming bc they’re defined by an approach rather than a life stage, sometimes end up enforcing the same boundary. So where does someone go who is 46, symptomatic, not on hormones, and still cycling irregularly? That’s a real gap. I get the logic of keeping spaces focused. Peri and post-meno aren’t the same physiologically, and advice that applies to one doesn’t always transfer. But the hormone-free angle cuts across both stages. If your defining thing is “I’m working through this without HRT,” you’d think that would be the relevant grouping, not whether you’ve hit 12 consecutive months yet. The part that stuck with me is that the person didn’t get bad advice. They just got redirected. And then they left entirely. That’s the actual cost of a rigid community structure when someone is already uncertain and probably a bit raw about the whole thing. I’ve talked to women managing peri symptoms through load management, sleep, nutrition, stress work, and some of the peptide/recovery side of things. That conversation is happening, just scattered across forums that weren’t designed for it. Curious whether others have felt this. Did you find a sub or forum that actually held both stages well? Or did you end up just piecing it together from multiple communities and hoping the advice was transferable?
