i’m 18 wks pp now and my in laws are still here for sanhujori. it’s been a mix of helpful and frustrating. they keep commenting on my weight and how i’m not ‘snapping back’ like they thought i would. i’ve tried to explain to them that pp is different for everyone, but they just laugh it off and tell me to ‘eat less’ or ‘exercise more’.
it’s hard not to take it personally. has anyone else dealt w/ in laws who just don’t get it? how did you handle it? i feel like i’m already stressed enough with yejin and recovery, i don’t need their opinions on top of it.
honestly, i just log my symptoms and progress in careclinic so i can track what’s going on w/o having to remember everything, but even that feels like too much some days. do you guys have any tips for setting boundaries w/ family after having a baby?
