from the partner side, it’s been a wild 6 mos. my wife’s lupus has been flaring on and off since march. we’ve been trying to figure out her triggers and it’s been a process. some days are better than others, but the unpredictability is tough.
i’ve been trying to be more supportive without being overbearing, it’s a fine line. anyone else have to deal w/ this? how do you handle the uncertainty? i feel like i’m always walking on eggshells, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
we’ve had some good days too, though. she’s been able to manage her symptoms pretty well w/ meds and rest. but it’s hard to see her in pain and not be able to do much abt it. i just want to be there for her without taking over, you know?
fwiw.
