so i’m 18 months post-op from shoulder surgery and i’ve been experimenting with peptides to aid in recovery. i started with bpc-157, 250mcg subq twice a day, and saw some improvement in pain and range of motion.
recently, i added semaglutide, 1mg subq daily, to the mix. sleep and appetite suppression have been noticeable, but the real game-changer has been the reduction in inflammation.
i’ve been tracking my progress in a log, and being able to export the data as a csv for my pt has been super helpful. anyway, thought i’d share my update - has anyone else had success with peptides post-surgery?
“the real game-changer has been the reduction in inflammation” is an interesting take. when you’re 18 mos post-op and also running bpc-157 for recovery, it’s genuinely hard to separate out what’s driving that “reduction in inflammation” from the sema alone.
confounders stack rather than cancel, even with diligent tracking… the compound’s contribution versus other things you’re doing is tough to disentangle.
recent experience with peptides post surgery is limited but your mention of “reduction in inflammation” with semaglutide is interesting, as that’s not typically the first thing people track. I’ve seen some posts on reddit about using peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 for tissue repair, but semaglutide is usually discussed in the context of weight loss or blood sugar control. Your log data must be pretty detailed to show a noticeable difference - what specific markers are you tracking to measure inflammation, and how are you measuring range of motion, is it just subjective or are you using a goniometer or something similar. 💉

semaglutide’s anti inflammatory effects are interesting you mention “reduction in inflammation” which is a pretty common report from sema users what’s your actual dose and route for sema and how long have you been on it also what kind of inflammation were you experiencing before adding sema was it just general post op stuff or something more specific the thing that stands out is you’re 18 months post op and still seeing benefits from peptides that’s a pretty long timeline for recovery worth pushing on what your pt thinks about the peptide use are they on board with it or is this something you’re doing on your own also have you noticed any changes in sleep or appetite since adding sema those are pretty common side effects but can be beneficial for recovery too ymmv but i’m curious to hear more about your experience
sema inflammation. how was that isolated? lol
Surgery recovery timelines vary, what’s your current ROM measurement compared to pre-op.
what inflammation markers did you track before/after sema?
